The intent of MFG Day has been for shops to open their doors to the public in order to lay outdated misconceptions to rest and expose the true reality of what it's like to make things for a living.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2019
Students (6th grade and up) and their teachers will tour each department of our mold making facility. Beginning in engineering, our guests will learn how a design concept begins. As they walk through the shop they will see how steel is manufactured to produce a product based on the engineering design. Finally, they will experience the Tech Center where actual parts are being produced from the molds made at M.R. Mold.
Closed toed shoes are required. Please contact Geri Anderson, Marketing Director, at geri@mrmold.com to schedule a tour.
We believe that college isn't for every student. We can show them how a job in manufacturing is just as valuable as a college degree. With the big push to bring jobs back to the United States, it is extremely important that we get today's youth introduced to manufacturing and other trades.
