In an effort to continue the education process of their technical experts, PolyOne sent 6 people to M.R. Mold on Friday, February 11 to get “hands on” training. The day began by disassembling the barrel and nozzle from the molding machine. PolyOne techs cleaned the barrel and screw and watched the reassembly process and the steps involved in changing a pail kit on the pumping unit. The mold was heated and parts were produced. The cause for defective parts were looked at and discussed in depth in order to give PolyOne technicians the information they need to help customers troubleshoot their molding process.
